Hey guys! This school year is flying by really fast and it feels like we just started the school year. Now that it’s almost the end of the school year, that means that we should start looking out for our video that we will be showing at Family Night. I think that this is mostly the hardest decision because the new students are gonna be filling into my spot and I should show them a video that represents what we do.
My first pick was to choose my Hiki No project on the Bon Dance. I was thinking about this video to show because it’s like a invitation to the people because the Bon Dance is during the summer and everyone is allowed to come and dance. I also thought of this video because I think that this will show a little more on the Japanese culture and the background of it. This video is okay with shots and audio which I think is not very likely. My second pick was to do the Bike Safety PSA. I was thinking about this video because it’s a little more of a humor like video that will kind of make you more interested in the video than being bored because there’s a lot of talking in other videos. I was also thinking about showing this video at family night because it sends a message that is kind of clear but is kind of hard to understand at the same time. Finally, my third pick was to do the video that Ty, Mia, and I did for the STN Fall Challenge. I was thinking about showing this video at Family Night because this is was my first time competing in the STN Fall Challenge and this was the video that made us stay after school for around 7-8 hours. This video was actually a challenge for all three of us because we had to research, call, film, and edit in 6 days. Six days seems like a lot of time to get a interview and edit but to be honest, it’s kind of hard if people decline you. I still have to choose but either way these videos should work because it was turned in on time, it had more than one revision, and it was approved my Mr. M. This will be a hard decision but we will find out on the night of Family Night. Have a great day!

We’re back! It’s great to be back home to the warm temperatures instead of the cold. Other than being happy to be back home, it’s time to end the STN trip with a reflection on what we enjoyed, what stressed us out, and what we learned from the trip. This years trip was so much fun and was a way to end my last year in media.
This year we went to Nashville for a week and spent six days in Boston which seems kind of long but went by really fast. In both states we were mostly sightseeing around the town and heard a lot of country music in Nashville and rustic buildings in Boston. This years trip was really fun because I feel like we bonded moe on this trip because we are mostly seeing each other every morning right when we wake up and when we go to sleep. The one thing about this trip that stressed us out was the regular team competitions and the Crazy 8’s because we all had to make a video and make a story that will relate to the topic given to us. Also time flies when you are frustrated too. This year’s competition felt pretty hard but when you start to film and edit the video then you feel a lot more better about how you might do. Even though you feel confident about winning and you don’t place then you just have to realize that losing is also winning because that how life goes. I feel like I have been learning a lot from this trip because I’ve learned about friendship, teamwork, winning and losing, history, etc. This trip taught me a lot because I have gotten closer wit my classmates which really helped us get through the competitions even if we stressed out a little. I also learned about winning and losing because I lost in both competitions and that was kind of heartbreaking for my last year, but at volleyball practice my coaches told my teammates and I that, “WE ALL LOSE TOGETHER AS A TEAM”. This years trip was a great way to end my last year in media and a great way to move on. I feel like this trip was also a great way to get together as a class and learn that we might need teamwork to help us. Thanks to everyone who gave donations, came and bought breakfast tickets, etc, also thank you to our teacher and our fun and enjoyable chaperones/ Parents. It’s finally the start of another quarter! Now that means that it’s time to share our goals for this quarter. Last quarter was okay and our vaping PSA could have been better and now I have to improve on making this quarters PSA better.
My first goal that I hope to accomplish is to always be on task with all the things that I want to get done with. Mr. M would post a topic about if we were behind schedule, on task, or ahead of schedule and that way he would check to see if we were doing our projects and radios on time or behind schedule. I thought that doing that was a great idea for checking on each student to see how their doing and to see if they need help or not. But if I’m n task then that would help me a lot by keeping me on track and making sure that I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing. My second goal for this year is to always meet my deadlines. Meeting your deadlines are always important to do when you are in the CKTV media productions class or when you have something due for school or a job. I have met most of my deadlines for the past years and I hope I meet all my goals this year too. My last goal and my most important goal that I use all the time is to “NEVER PROCRASTINATE”. Over the past two years in media I have always procrastinated because I have many things in my head that I think about all the time whether it relates to media or school. As you can see, I’m a stressed out person and I try not to be like that because most of the time I tend to get a little sassy. Getting back to the topic, when I procrastinate I always rush and try to get whatever I need to get done. In conclusion, I really hope that I can meet all three of these goals so I can be on track, not to stress out, and so I can get good grades. Meeting all these goals will really help me in many ways. Happy Thanksgiving!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a great day off! This weeks blog topic is about giving thanks and to share what we’re thankful for. To give thanks since it’s Thanksgiving I’m going to share three things that I’m thankful for.
One thing that I’m thankful for is to have a family. This is important to me because my family takes care of me everyday and help anyone else whenever they need help. I’m thankful for my family because they help me whenever I’m sick or they would help by showing their appreciation. I’m lucky to have a family that helps me along the way and a family that will take time out of their day to help someone. Another thing that I’m thankful for is to go to school and learn. Learning is important to me because it helped me with knowing my alphabet and how to count and now I know more just by going to school to learn. Also learning is not only in school because there is so many that you can learn from like sports, or even simple things like hygiene, etc. I’m also thankful to to learn and go to school because there is also many other children from around the world that don’t have the opportunity to go to school and learn. I’m also thankful for food because without food I would be starving, I’m also thankful to have and to eat food. I’m thankful for this because there are also children around the world that don’t have the resources for food or water right next to them like us so they have to walk and find water or food for themselves to stay alive. I’m thankful for having the resources for food and water right next to me to stay alive. In conclusion, Im thankful for all of these because they help me be the person who I am today. I hope you have a great day! Hi guys! Here’s another blog in a long time. We have been cutting down on the blogs because we are working on many work that we are doing this second quarter or finishing up. Now that we are starting with another quarter then that means that we are going to make another reflection.
As you know, we have a smaller class this year and that was one change that we went through. Before we had around 20 students the past two years that I was in the media productions class and this year we have a class of 13. I think that having a smaller class is both good and bad. I think this because now we are doing more paperwork like radios, announcements, etc. It’s also good because now we can make more videos so we can all learn more on what we can work on for the next project. Having a change in a class is very different. In This situation our class is smaller and now we are getting more work and having more deadlines. This is nothing to others but the way we act I think just makes the situation worse and doesn’t help the situation by complaining but it’s after to take a better route and just do it. One way to fix with doing more work is not to complain too much about it and I think that a way to fix all of this is to time it out and find time. I think that complaining just make the problem worse and doesn’t do anything or help the situation. I think that having many work and deadlines is good because now we can experience and go through what we might have to do when we all get older. This is a challenge that we have to go through this year because we have a smaller class but it isn’t that much of a problem and I think that we just need to do the work and not complain. This year so far is very challenging in media because we have many deadlines but we also have to realize that we are also middle school students and that we have many other important classes too. Having a smaller class is challenging but is also better at the same time. Having a smaller class might lead you to more work but you have to think of the bright side of doing it. Hey guys! This week we started on another quarter which I hope isn’t going by too fast because last quarter went by really fast. Now that it’s another quarter that means that I’m going to start the quarter with goals. The goals that I had last quarter was mainly about what I wanted to accomplish. I hope that I can reach all my goals again and I want this goal to help me when I get older too.
My first goal for this quarter is to be more organized because most of the time I’m not that organized. Being organized is going to help many people in many ways and it will especially help me a lot. There are so many ways that this could help me because organization is key when it comes to multitasking. One way that being organized is going to help me because when I’m doing a school project and a media project I can get organized. This way I will know where everything is and not stress out. This will also show one way I could multitask and be nicer to others. This will also help me because I can now turn in my projects on time. I taught myself over the years that if I stay organized then I can or might turn in my projects on or before the deadline date. This will also help me during STN because that way I can be more prepared and turn in our video on time or before the time limit. In conclusion, I’m still not organized but I’m working on changing the way im working with all my projects. This will also help me in many ways because it will help a lot with multitasking and the way I’m going to turn in my work. This is going to help me in school and media and I hope that my other classmates will plan to use this technique too. Being challenged is a really big deal because that means that you might have to get out of your comfort zone. Doing more things can really help you because that means that you are out of your comfort zone and that’s a good thing to have. When I do more things I always tell myself to never procrastinate because it’s not a good thing when someone procrastinates. The topic for this blog is about my toughest challenges I have had so far.
To start off, Having a smaller class has been different from the past two years when the class was around 20 students. Now that our class has 13 students that means that we will have to more work such as radios, announcements, etc. Doing more work for me, has made me a little better at getting things done on time. Starting on things earlier than late help because now days time runs by really fast. Secondly, Now that I have a group of three it’s different but it’s also helpful in many ways. It’s helpful to me because now one person can teach the other on how to do things and that lets the third person work on what needs to get done. This is also helpful to me because now three people can work on three separate things and that helps by speeding up the process. I really think that this was a real help for me because again I am a stresser. Finally, Less people and more work for me has been a real challenge because now days I have to remind myself to never procrastinate but I also have to tell myself that I’m also in school too. Doing media work is something that I’m used to now because I have experienced it before but now that there is more it’s a little challenging but it’s simple because I know what needs to be done. But this class is also showing me how getting a job is really like because you have to get things done. In conclusion, Many things are challenging but you have to learn from it and you are going to have to Hey guys! This is my first blog of my eighth grade year and I’m so excited to do this again for the 2017- 18 school year. It’s the start of a new school year that means that we have to start doing our blogs. This week's blog topic is “New Year, New Goals”. In this blog I will be talking about what my new goals are for this school year. Now that I’m in eighth grade and because it’s my third year in media that means that I am expected to do many more things than I did before and help out others in the class who need help.
My first goal and my most important goal that I use all the time is to “NEVER PROCRASTINATE”. Over the past two years in media I have always procrastinated because I have many things in my head that I think about all the time whether it relates to media or school. Meeting your deadlines are always important to do when you are in the CKTV media productions class or when you have something due for school or a job. I have met most of my deadlines for the past years and I hope I meet all my goals this year too. In conclusion, I really hope that I can meet all three of these goals so I can be on track, not to stress out, and so I can get good grades. Meeting all these goals will really help me in many ways so I can also keep focus on school and media. Have a great and magnificent day! |
