Have you always wondered why Casey Neistat wears sunglasses every day even when the weather is cloudy. Well watch the video down below and you will know the reason why he wears glasses. I will also be showing you how Casey makes his own glasses which take a lot of work.
What makes me uncomfortable? Well for this weeks blog topic it will be about what makes me uncomfortable. So some things that makes me feel uncomfortable is when you touch a fish and it’s so slimey, another thing that makes me feel uncomfortable is when you think you see things but it’s not even real, and the last thing that makes me feel uncomfortable is when you eat something spicy.
So if you ever caught a fish and you touched it, it might have felt a little slimey. What makes me uncomfortable about this is that in the water it’s like nothing but outside of water the fish feels really gooey and that grosses me out. It's weird because I can handle the guts and stuff but I just can’t handle touching fish that are slimey.
The second thing that makes me uncomfortable is when you think you see things moving but it's not real. Well this makes me feel uncomfortable and it gives me the chills. Every so often I think I see things moving in the hallways but it's just me.
The last thing that makes me feel uncomfortable is when you tend to eat something spicy that you don't think is spicy. This makes me uncomfortable because when you eat something spicy it kind of burns your mouth and then you rush to get milk or water. This has happened to me a lot and it gives me the chills too.
In conclusion, everyone has their likes and dislikes such as touching a fish and not touching a fish. Some things that make me uncomfortable always turn out strange. Well have a great day!
So this is another drone free post and this is about the “Hover Camera Passport”. This is known to be the drone that is like your selfie stick but way up in the air and if you watch this video casey shows what the camera looks like and I think that it looks exactly like your phone camera and it’s also the same size as your phone camera too. I think that this drone is awesome because it’s not as small as your regular drone such as the DJI Phantom 4 but it might be bigger than the Mavic Pro.
Hey guys it's finally second quarter! So for this weeks blog topic it will be talking about what my goals are for this second quarter. So now this quarter I’m working with Keith on a video about Led lights that are being installed around Kaua’i. So my goals for this quarter are to get things posted on time, How I can become a good mentor, and ways I can keep myself away from procrastinating this quarter.
So getting things posted on time was a thing that I would always do and I just did it again with the personal profile. Well for this quarter I want to step up my game and get things done on time and posted such as the TIAS, Script, and as many drafts of my video posted. These are the ways I’m going to follow to complete this goal.
The second thing that I would like to improve upon is being a good mentor for Keith and upcoming newbies. So being a mentor I would say is very stressful because you don’t want to teach a partner badly and that is really bad for you as a returnee and for a partner who doesn’t know a lot about what he/she has to do. For this quarter I think I will just remember how Kolten taught me everything and I will do the same to Keith too.
I think that when you procrastinate it’s really bad for you because that means that you’re falling behind and this is something that I do a lot and that is really bad for me. So some ways I will try not to procrastinate is by posting everything on time and post everything that I have done on this blog. I think that by posting everything that I have done on this website will help me stop procrastinating for this quarter and the following quarters.
In conclusion, These are the three things that are really important for this quarter because it will help me and Keith a lot because we don’t have to rush and get all the things posted in one day. These three goals will also be really helpful for upcoming quarters because it will help me by not procrastinating. Have a great day!
This video gave me the chills because I thought that Casey was gonna fall but he didn’t so that was good. So this video is about casey shooting a 360 picture which is kind of like a panoramic picture I would say. And also congrats to casey for winning the category of the first person to the Streamys.
So a 360 camera is just like the virtual reality games because now instead of virtual reality games there is going to be 360 videos instead of regular videos that have a still shot of you or just at one spot. So I learned that the hardware behind VR and 360-degree content is evolving with new, beautifully designed cameras seeing releases every year. Some positives are that 360 cameras d everyone wants to use it. But some negatives are that these cameras can cost for a range from $200 - $60,000 and that is a very strange cost range that you don’t really see everyday.
Hey guys so for this weeks blog topic is about it’s about how our first quarter was. The time went by fast because it just felt like the school year just started. Now it’s the second quarter what are ny new goals and how can I become from a newbie to a returnee and help other newbies? Well there are some thoughts that I always think of every day.
So Mr. M wanted to know how being a newbie or a Returnee was like for the first quarter. So I would say that it’s fun being a returnee because you kind of feel like you know and when someone asks for help you can help them instead of telling them to ask another person. Being a returnee makes me kind of nervous because all of the pressure is on me such as, to meet the deadlines and teaching my partner what to do and how to do it.
Well so some of the struggles I had for this quarter was getting B-roll and Mr.M always tells us that we need a lot of B-roll instead of using B-roll. This was one of my struggles because for the Rocket Strong video it was mostly pictures and there were hardly any video B-roll and I thought that having video B-roll would be better but when I watched the video the pictures looked fine. Also B-roll is another thing that is very important other than the interview because this shows more with the video instead of having the B-roll by itself. I also think that B-roll is like a vision so if the person that you are interviewing says “I like to play sports such as…” and there is another video showing the person playing sports.
Another thing that I have struggled with was getting to show Keith how to do all the thing that we do in media such as radios and how we use the audio and the cameras. Well I think that I focused on the Rocket strong video more than I have actually talked to my partner Keith. So the solution to this problem was the Koke’e trip because I got to talk to Keith more and I got to know him better. And later on when we had to do our personal profiles I showed Keith how to use all the audio equipment because we had our radios coming up.
In Conclusion, this quarter went by kind of stressful and well because I got to know my classmates better during the koke’e trip. Also being a returnee is a little bit stressful but it is also still fun because you get to spend time with your partner. Other than that stay tuned to FM97 and here Keith and I’s radios on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
So this video is about the difference of the DJI Mavic, Phantom 4, and GoPro Karma drone side by side in 4k. I think that this is going to be helpful because for the people who don’t have a drone to take videos can use this as a guide to buy which drone has the better quality. I also think this is going to help other people in our media class who haven’t used a drone yet can see the quality of the 4k in the Phantom 4 drone because we have a phantom 4 drone and we hardly use it so maybe this video will make us use the drone more often.
In this video you can see the difference between the Phantom 4, DJI Mavic, Parrot Bebop 2, and the GoPro hero 5 session. Plus this video is by Casey Neistat and who doesn’t like him. I think that Casey not only shows what his life is about but he explains everything about what he is doing, what it’s about, and then shows his whole day in a video vlog.
Hey guys! So today's blog topic is about our personal profile. So the newbies are found their profiles on other newbies so they can practice doing interviews and the returnees are doing their profiles on teachers at CKMS. Aron and I chose Mr. Sasan and he is our 7th grade science teacher for upstairs.
So Mr.M wanted to know where we are on our personal profile and I think the Aron and I are on schedule. I think we are on schedule because we just did our interview and some b-roll but we still need to finish filming our b-roll and we have to edit. So our due date for all personal profiles are on the 7th of October which is next week Friday so Aron and I are planning to finish filming b-roll and start editing by at least Tuesday.
Next week Aron and I are going to finish our b-roll and we are going to edit as soon as we get done with filming our b-roll. Another thing that we are going to be doing are to film a lot of b-roll and edit our 2 minute video after school and maybe we can also meet some where and finish editing. Another thing that we have to also do is our TIAS, Transcriptions, and our Script.
Finally, We are going to have a hard time finding b-roll for the interview on the part where Mr. Sasan says “I have been teaching in Utah...” because that was back in the days and he might not have pictures so that is one of my concerns. The only thing is about how we are going to start off our story with either him and his years of teaching or him and what he enjoys doing. All we have to do now is film B-roll, Edit, make a TIAS, Script, and Transcriptions.
In conclusion, in a story there is a Beginning, Middle, and an End and in a news story or any type of video it follows the same steps as a book. I would say that Aron and I are on schedule because the Script, Transcriptions, and the TIAS is not that hard to do but we just have to do our B-roll and editing. Aron and I are very thankful that Mr. Sasan agreed to let us interview him.
Hi my name is Kai and I'm a second year student in the CKTV media class. My partner this year is Keith. Thanks for tuning in and have a great day.
